We’re confident this recently opened CBD steakhouse will thrive off the after-work, expense account-fuelled diners it’s surely targeting. The list of 14 juicy cuts includes a perfectly cooked 220g filet mignon that comes with the choice of one of the six sauces (try blue cheese and béarnaise). Even the list of starters makes room for the star player - Wagyu corned beef and steak tartare - but those looking to hold off and switch up the meat intake can go with a thick cut of salted duckliver pté ($26), served on a plate sprinkled with fresh parsley alongside chopped green apples caramelised with calvados. It only takes a quick glance at the menu (or perhaps just the name) to see this joint’s all about the beef, baby. Mirrored dining-room walls reflect light from a modern chandelier and cosy tanleather cushion seating lines the perimeter. Sides are divided between potato and greens; the creamy gratin ($5) was oversalted yet sinfully delicious.
