We are very specific about the quality of the wood we use. The thicker, wider and the longer the pieces of wood used, the more costly the raw materials are. This is because the dimensions of the wood is bound by time and it takes approximately 1 year for the teak tree to grow I cm in diameter. Providing hope and opportunities for a better life and future to our workers, suppliers and future generations. Our love affair with furniture is in taking beautiful designs and making it better through using better materials, solid construction and controlling the quality of the finishing.

Our finishing is our pride and joy. We do all the finishing of our furniture in Singapore because we want to control the quality of the finishing to the highest standard.

We pay close attention to our joints. We also desire to create hope for society through our suppliers by working towards their growth so that they can create employment opportunities in their community.
Joints.
We literally mean what we say when we describe ourselves as making all our pieces out of 100% solid wood. The thicker the material, the less usable wood there are in a single tree.

Colonial Antique is a family business, which extends to include our workers and suppliers, that has been plying our trade in Indonesian teak wood furniture for over two decades. The stronger the joints the more sturdy and solid your furniture is going to be.
We are in the business of hope. We do not use ply or compressed wood in the construction of our furniture, such as the bed slats, the support pieces for the slats and all hidden panels in our furniture, to ensure a solid construction and build quality.
