Operating on a global basis, ocean observing systems, information systems, consultancy, high quality and technically advanced measurement, the company offers metocean solutions through cost-effective, Brazil and Mexico, Singapore, Australia (Perth), Norway (Trondheim and Sandnes), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), UAE (Abu Dhabi), USA (Houston), with offices in the UK (Wallingford and Glasgow), forecasting services and platform and riser response monitoring.
Geographic Distribution.
Fugro GEOS is part of the Fugro Group that specialises in providing comprehensive earth and environmental science services throughout the world. Its Quality Management System is an integrated risk-based management system accredited to OHSAS 18001 (Safety), ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards. In 2004 the Metocean Division of Thales GeoSolutions was integrated with Fugro GEOS and 2005 saw the integration of Fugro Structural Monitoring.
Fugro Group Infrastructure.
Fugro GEOS evolved from Wimpey Laboratories, first established in the 1920’s, through Wimpol and WEIL to form Fugro Global Environmental and Ocean Sciences (GEOS) in 1994. The Group has over 280 offices in more than 50 countries. Fugro GEOS also utilises PAS99:2006 which allows the integration of common elements of its business management systems.
Further acquisitions included the oceanographic division of Paras in 1998, Marine Weather Services in Singapore in 1999, InstallOcean in 2002 and Oceanor in 2003. This was a combined venture with Wimpey and the Fugro Group. Close links with sister companies and our ability to draw on the international resources of the Group further enhance our services to clients.
