Background.
As he wants to improve his aesthetic skills, he attended various courses, attended conferences and meetings in many countries. His interest in dermatology led him to be the first Singapore doctor to pursue the course in practical dermatology from Cardiff, University of Wales in 1993-94 under Prof Ronald Marks. The doctor in charge is Dr Allan Kok. He graduated in 1984 with MBBS from the National University of Singapore. He uses various methods to reverse and prevent the aging looks.
He believes in procedures (non and minimal invasive) that are effective to contain signs of aging. He organised the first certificate course in Aesthetic medicine (2003) in Singapore together with AAAM which 33 doctors attended. Among the mentors he visited/met are Prof Gary Lask (Laser Centre in UCLA, Dr Pierre (Paris, for mesotherapy), tutorship under Dr Pistor, France, Dr Le Coz (Paris, AAAM), Dr Mitchel Delune (President of American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, USA), Los Angeles, France for fat transfer) and Prof Rox Anderson (Harvard University for laser updates). He obtained the diploma with merit.
The various conferences and CMEs he attended included annual meetings of AAD, ASLMS and focused meetings in bariatric medicine in San Deigo (USA), Laser Update (Laser and Aesthetic Skin Therapy at Massachusetts General Hospital organised by Harvard Medical School), conference in dermatology in HK (Society of dermatology) , annual meetings of IMCAS, various meetings in updates and advanced training in botox, fillers etc.
LS Medical & Aesthetic Centre started in 1991 at present premise ( #08-05A, Ngee Ann City Tower B) and the name is changed to LS Aesthetic Clinic Pte Ltd ( in 2008) to reflect the focus of practice in aesthetic medicine. With the success of the certificate course, he continued to organise the subsequent diploma in aesthetic medicine with AAAM.
