Matex was incorporated on 30 September 1989 in Singapore and we started our operation in the name of Matex Specialty Chemicals Pte Ltd under the stewardship of Dr Alex Tan Pang Kee. Our principal activities include manufacturing, formulation and sale of specialty chemicals focusing on dyestuffs and auxiliaries for the textile industry.

Over the years, the group has garnered many accolades in succession and in recognition of its sterling achievements, like Singapore SME (Small Medium Enterprise) 500, Singapore SME 500 Highest Net Profit Enterprise, Singapore Enterprise 50, Singapore 1000 Enterprise. Of noteworthy is the latest addition to the group in Taixing, China, 2 state of-the-art production facility sites. After 20 years of expansion, Malaysia, with assets totaling more than SGD 100 million and accumulated total profits after tax exceeding SGD 50 million，with 7 subsidiaries spread across Singapore, the group now has 400 employees worldwide, China and other countries and regions. Matex has specialty dyestuff and textile chemicals as its core business and is involved in material science, computerized system/IT, environmental science, biotechnology/life science, and human resource through its group of companies. With its subsidiaries and affiliates also receiving China Chemical Top 500 - Best Performing Top 100, China Top 500 Economic Development and China Chemical Most Potential Growing Chemical Company.
Headquartered in Singapore and listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange main board since Feb, 2004. One site can produce 30,000 metric tons of reactive dyes and the other produces specialty chemicals such as textile auxiliaries.
