This new venue was conceived to encourage creative exchange between regional and international artists. After two years in Indonesia, Art Xchange established its second gallery in Singapore in March 2011. Art Xchange Gallery hopes to provide “a window to the soul, where passion meets creativity”.
Founded in September 2009 in Surabaya, East Java, Art Xchange Gallery was created as a space to showcase the diversity of modern and contemporary artists from Indonesia. The gallery currently represents artists from Singapore, Ukraine and Canada, Indonesia, and will continue to expand into other countries. Its mission is to bring artworks from different societies together so that parallels and contrasts can be observed, and artists who challenge precedents can have a voice. The inaugural exhibition, “[d?'v??s?ti]”, showcased a diversity of artists and mediums.

Art Xchange Gallery is pleased to present The Dalí Tribute Project, a group exhibition that includes a compelling selection of 15 emerging and established artists from Indonesia. These artists, who have been influenced by Salvador Dalí in various ways, have created works with Dalí as the object of representation, or have utilised him as an inspiration in developing their own sense of style and artistic practice.
