YAKINIKU HANATORA, “What would you recommend?” and give you results so dismal, Mr.Buchi & Mitsuko Oshige’s second offering located in Boat Quay.
There are times when a restaurant can take the question, it’s hard to ask the question again. Two floors are dedicated to serving guests with a red-and-black minimalist design, reminiscent of Shabu-Hana. And then there’s that one great place which takes that same question and weaves culinary magic with it. Complete with omakase-style service.
The sister-restaurant of Shabu-Hana on Mohamed Sultan Road, and most especially, service, Yakiniku Hanatora is casual Japanese dining without sacrificing ambiance, taste. Indoor private rooms for parties of 10 and 35, respectively.

or for vegetarians, try the shimeji (Japanese mushrooms), spinach or bean sprout namuro, and the cannot-be-missed Hanatora salad with its house-made dressing, so light and tasty it’s a meal unto itself.
Note: Wagyu is best eaten with a glass of Pinot Noir to complement the delicateness of the meat
A note for those who have yet to enjoy the delights of Kobe beef
Followers of the original restaurant can look forward to a relaxed dining experience with colleagues, friends or family as they grill away, filling up on Hanatora’s excellent menu that includes tokusen calbi (premium beef short ribs), rosu premium chuck or the special rosu chuck roll, or the yukke (fresh raw minced beef with egg yolk). One can also enjoy seafood like scallops and squid, grilled to tender perfection
But of course, this being a yakiniku, Hanatora’s pièce de résistance is their Wagyu beef - that exquisitely-marbled, melt-in-your-mouth goodness sourced directly from Kobe, Japan. This is not your ordinary USDA Prime, my friends. No sir. Hanatora gets their beef from a farm in Kobe that has over a hundred years experience in raising only prime cows for the best quality beef.
