Thunder Rock School is dedicated to Wayne, to celebrate and honour his spirit.
One fateful night in 2007, Wayne Thunder went to sleep and never woke again. He leaves behind a legacy for fellow Singapore musicians to remember and continue where he left off.
Through his ample efforts, Wayne Thunder inspired and moved many others to join him in driving the music scene forward in various ways.
Wayne Thunder was a brilliant drummer (Boredphucks / The Suns) and one of the founders of Gila Rock, a music website/gig organizer/music label.
His name was Wayne Thunder.
There was once a passionate young man who lived for a mission, the mission to breathe spirit and life into Singapore's music scene.
The Story of The Thunder.
All dedicated to cultivating Singapore's music scene, our instructors are a team of carefully selected professionals who have all earned a place in the music industry.
Courses are not all about learning a particular music instrument. Since then, spirit, his name, and soul have been marked in Singapore music history and he will forever be rememebered as a legend. They are also sessions for burrowing deep into each student's musical capacity and digging out his or her potential for us to nourish and nurture with what we know.
Instructors live by that motto and encourage their students to do the same.

Percussion has always been an integral instrument for every form of music ever created. Once used for war songs, worship rites, and celebration rituals, drums have continued to provide rhythms for all sorts of music.
